Senior I.T. Support Technician

The Job Role

We are currently looking for someone to join its expanding IT department. This role would suit someone with a broad spectrum of IT knowledge to support a wide variety of systems and users. This role with require working between different sites, a valid driving license will be required.

Role Responsibilities

  • Log and report all IT calls and enquiries on internal systems.
  • Installing new technologies and teaching end users how to operate them.
  • Providing technical support via remote, phone or onsite visit.
  • Maintaining operating systems by repairing hardware and configuring software.
  • Providing software support.
  • Patch management.
  • Security Endpoint Management.
  • Working and maintaining network infrastructure (CAT5/6 cabling experience preferable).
  • AD domain device and user management.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft server-based products.
  • Ability to write IT processes and procedures.

Job requirements:

  • Flexible, positive team player, who is prepared to get involved with all issues coming into the IT department.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills with a methodical approach to achieving set deadlines.
  • Minimum of 2 years second line I.T. experience.

Full Time Position

  • Hours are based on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 4.30 pm with half an hour each day for lunch. No weekend, evening or bank holiday working.
  • Salary commensurate with experience.
  • Free internal training provided as required.
  • Opportunities to progress, promote internally and up skill.

Due to the nature of the business being a manufacturing environment, working from home arrangements are not available.
