The Job Role

Based at our Production Facility at Rotherwas, due to the continuing growth of the Manufacturing and Dispatch departments, an opportunity has arisen for a TECHTEST LEAD DESPATCH OPERATIVE, to work in close association with the Production Management and the Despatch Operations Controller, to conduct the preparation of Techtest Products for storage or despatch and to ensure that despatch targets are met.

Requisite Capabilities:

Although relevant experience would prove advantageous, it is not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of all Techtest products for storage or despatch and provide supervisory support to the Despatch Operations Controller and ideally possess:

  • Good organisational skills and leadership qualities.
  • A sound work ethic combined with IT skills.
  • A degree of manual dexterity.
  • A manufacturing background is preferable but not essential.
  • Ability to read technical drawings would be advantageous.

Other duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance of Finished Stock build paperwork.
  • To assist with Daily Operational Standards checks.
  • To conduct periodical stock inventories.
  • Adherence to strict production paperwork and packing standards.
  • To attend Management direction meetings in the absence of the Despatch Operations Controller.
  • To conduct initial training of new staff in Despatch operations.

Full Time Position

  • Hours are based on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm with half an hour each day for lunch. No weekend, evening or bank holiday working.
  • Salary commensurate with experience.
  • Free internal training provided as required.
  • Opportunities to progress, promote internally and up skill.

Due to the nature of the business being a manufacturing environment, working from home arrangements are not available.
