The Job Role
Based at our Production Facility at Rotherwas, due to the continuing growth of the Manufacturing and Despatch departments, an opportunity has arisen for a TECHTEST DESPATCH OPERATIVE, to work in close association with the Production Management, Despatch Operations Controller, and Despatch Lead Operative ensuring despatch targets and build standards are met and to provide support to the Despatch Department with the preparation of the Techtest products for storage and despatch.
Role Responsibilities
Although relevant experience would prove advantageous, it is not essential as comprehensive training will be provided. The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture of Search and Rescue equipment and providing despatch cover and support in the event of absence or increased workload and ideally possess:
- Good organisational skills and communication skills and a sound work ethic.
 - A manufacturing background is preferable but not essential.
 - Ability to read technical drawings would be advantageous.
 - Full conversancy with Techtest build standards and to support robust operational and administrative controls.
 
Other duties include but are not limited to:
- The generation and application of product labelling.
 - The preparation of components for despatch or stock holding.
 - Adherence to strict production paperwork and packing standards.

Full Time Position
- Hours are based on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm with half an hour each day for lunch. No weekend, evening or bank holiday working.

Due to the nature of the business being a manufacturing environment, working from home arrangements are not available.
