German aviation ELT regulation changes
New German Luftfahrt-Bundesamt regulation change to the carriage of Emergency Locator Transmitters (ELT) onboard aircraft and helicopters.
The Luftfahrt-Bundesamt has made amendments to the DV LuftBO for the carriage of ELTs onboard aircraft and helicopters which includes all general aviation aircraft.
The type of ELT required, being the Survival or Automatic type and the date of implementation is dependent upon the date of the Certificate of Airworthiness and if flights are taken abroad or over water.
Techtest Limited's 500-12 Survival ELT and 503 Series Automatic ELT are fully compliant with all requirements and will help you to meet these new regulations.
