ELT(S) EUROCAE ED-62 Certification
The Techtest 500 Series Survival ELT, including the 500-12Y and 500-27Y have for many years been supplied to meet aviation regulations worldwide.
It has recently come to our attention that some operators have been incorrectly advised that these units do not meet the certification requirements of Eurocae ED-62. This statement is not true and we advise all operators and aircraft manufacturers that these units do in fact meet all the certification requirements of Eurocae ED-62 and that the certification accorded to these products is current and correct.
All units are certified to JTSO 2C-91a and JTSO 2C-126 as a survival ELT and as always any misrepresentation made by any third party should not be regarded as fact and we urge customers, potential customers, operators and OEMs to contact Techtest for the correct appraisal of certification requirements.
